Competitive Testing on Landing Pages to Identify User Needs and Industry Design Patterns

Context: Our team wanted to understand our competitors' approach to landing pages for credit cards, as we planned to develop our own
Method: I utilized unmoderated testing with UserTesting contributors to evaluate our competitors' landing pages
Impact: The research-informed recommendations I provided were utilized by the designer to create a landing page that performed well in user testing

Evaluative Research

In-Depth Interviewing to Understand Participation in Underwriting Initiative

Context: The client company launched a new underwriting effort and we wanted to understand why customers opt out of the initiative
Method: I conducted in-depth interviews with past initiative invitees, as well as UserTesting contributors
Impact: The research insights were utilized in an ideation workshop I hosted, which resulted in ideas which influenced design strategy

Multi-Stage Research

Multi-Stage Research to Build a Machine Learning Platform

Context: My team was tasked with designing a platform that engineers could use to develop and deploy analog ML applications
Methods: We conducted generative and evaluative research that relied on diverse methods (such as interviewing, contextual inquiries, usability testing, wizard-of-oz testing, and speed dating testing)
Impact: The research insights shaped the overall design strategy and informed iterative design improvements
